Shootings leave one dead, another hurt

RAWALPINDI:

A man was killed, while another was injured in two separate shooting incidents within the jurisdictions of different police stations in the city.

According to the police, the first incident took place in the Ghaziabad area of RA Bazaar, where a man from Havelian was shot and killed. The assailants, whose identities remain unknown, fled the scene. Following the collection of vital evidence from the crime scene, the police sent the body for a post-mortem examination at the District Headquarters Hospital.

In the second incident, a young man was injured over a land dispute in the Sagri area of Rawat. The assailants opened fire, leaving 35-year-old Qaiser critically wounded.

The suspects managed to flee the scene. Local residents, acting swiftly, assisted the injured man and transported him to the District Headquarters Hospital. The police have confirmed that a case has been registered, and efforts to apprehend the perpetrators are ongoing. Legal proceedings have been initiated by the authorities.
