Pope Leo XIV to host Cate Blanchett, Chris Pine and more stars at Hollywood-Vatican summit
The Pope will hold a special audience at the Apostolic Palace on November 15 as part of the Holy Year celebrations

Pope Leo XIV is looking forward to hosting a Hollywood gathering at the Vatican as part of the Holy Year celebrations.
According to Variety, the Pope will hold a special audience at the Apostolic Palace on Saturday, November 15, with multiple celebrities in attendance, including Cate Blanchett, Chris Pine, Viggo Mortensen, Alison Brie, Dave Franco and Monica Bellucci.
The Pope will also meet Oscar-winning directors Spike Lee, George Miller, Giuseppe Tornatore and Gus Van Sant.
According to the Vatican, the Pope “has expressed his desire to deepen dialogue with the World of Cinema… exploring the possibilities that artistic creativity offers to the mission of the Church and the promotion of human values.”
Ahead of the event, the Vatican also revealed Pope Leo's favourite films, namely It's a Wonderful Life (1946), The Sound of Music (1965), Ordinary People (1980), and La vita è bella (1997).
Previously, Al Pacino became the first Hollywood star to meet the Pope in June, while Robert De Niro met him last week in Rome.
The late Pope Francis also hosted such gatherings earlier this year before his death at the age of 88.
