Chaos and mismanagement reported at Atif Aslam concert in Karachi
Attendees report hours-long queues, poor crowd control, and rude staff at the Moin Khan Academy event

On November 1, a concert was held at the Moin Khan Academy in Karachi, which has since been making waves on social media. Organized by Prism Events and Tours, the night featured renowned singer Atif Aslam as the headliner, with performances by Asfar and the band Bayaan.
The event, however, has drawn widespread criticism over mismanagement. Attendees reported overcrowding, poor entry control, and disorganized logistics. Several concert-goers spoke about waiting for hours in long queues to enter the venue, while others were left stranded outside. Many also complained of rude behavior from the event staff.
Instagram users shared clips from the concert:
One user recounted the experience, "We arrived before 7pm, yet it still took 1.5 to 2 hours for attendees to even approach the gate. The event suffered from serious organizational lapses - inadequate crowd management, absence of volunteers or clear guidance, and a complete lack of structure barriers or entry control."

Another agreed, "Very poorly managed, there was no proper queue system, no separate lines for VIPs, influencers, pink and regular attendees. We were in line since 6.30 PM and got in at 8. Many people in front of us entered without tickets."

However, according to others, the chaos was due to a larger than expected crowd showing up after gates closed, leading to mismanagement.
"We were on time, 5.30 PM, and we went inside very smoothly and systematically. They clearly mentioned the gates would be closed at 7 PM, so if you are late that is your problem, not the management's issue."
