Ariana Grande flaunts matching tattoo with Cynthia Erivo ahead of 'Wicked: For Good' release

Director Jon M. Chu revealed a sweet detail about the tattoo that had fans marvelling at the two actress' close bond

Ahead of the upcoming release of Wicked: For Good,  in the Oscar-nominated franchise,  Ariana Grande re-shared a picture of her and Cynthia Erivo's matching "For Good' palm tattoo. 

Grande previously revealed these tattoos back in December 2023. This time however, director Jon M. Chu disclosed a sweet detail about it that had fans swooning at Grande and Erivo's closeness.

Chu took to Instagram Stories to repost Grande's picture and write, "I cautioned them to maybe wait to get any tattoos about the movie until AFTER they see it... but they opted to ignore me and got them on like days 3 of rehearsals".

"LOL i remember you saying this and being like 'omg .... what does THAT MEAN ?????????' But it was about what we were experiencing and creating and feeling in our hearts, not about the end result !" one of the leads responded.

The record was also set straight. "hello fun fact these and the poppies we got the evening after we shot 'for good' and then the first round was done right after we shot popular"

Last year, during the press tour for the first instalment, Grande and Erivo gave Kelly Clarkson a Wicked tattoo tour. 

The Wicked: For Good team kicks off the worldwide press tour and premieres later this week, visiting Sao Paulo, Paris, London, Singapore and New York.

Wicked: For Good is set to release in theaters later this month, on November 21.
