Family seeks justice for Dr Tunio
Protesters carried placards and chanted slogans against what they termed 'police brutality' and 'fake encounters'

The family of Dr Mehr Ali Tunio, who was allegedly killed in a staged police encounter in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, staged a protest outside the Karachi Press Club on Sunday, demanding a judicial inquiry into the incident.
The demonstration was led by Dr Taunio's brothers — Engineer Tahmeer Hussain Tunio and Zamir Hussain Tunio — along with other relatives and supporters. Protesters carried placards and chanted slogans against what they termed "police brutality" and "fake encounters."
The family claimed that on October 19, Gulshan-e-Iqbal police killed Dr Mahmeer in a staged encounter and later sent his body to the Edhi cold storage. They said they were informed about the incident three days later, on October 22, after which they collected the body.
