Rapper Julio Foolio’s killer Alicia Andrews convicted of manslaughter
Alicia Andrews found guilty of manslaughter in rapper Julio Foolio’s 2024 murder, with sentencing set for December 8

Alicia Andrews, one of the five suspects charged in the 2024 killing of Jacksonville rapper Julio Foolio, has been found guilty of manslaughter by a Tampa jury. The 21-year-old was convicted on October 31, 2025, after nearly four hours of deliberation. Her sentencing is scheduled for December 8 at 8:30 a.m.
The jury found Andrews guilty of manslaughter as a lesser charge to first-degree murder, while acquitting her of conspiracy. The case stems from the fatal shooting of rapper Charles “Julio Foolio” Jones, who was killed on June 23, 2024, in a Holiday Inn parking lot in Tampa, Florida. The artist was in the city celebrating his 26th birthday when he was ambushed.
Authorities allege that Andrews, along with four co-defendants — Isaiah Chance, Sean Gathright, Davion Murphy, and Rashad Murphy — traveled from Jacksonville to Tampa as part of a coordinated plot to kill Foolio amid an ongoing gang feud. Court documents cited by Primetimer and Complex claim that Foolio was affiliated with the 6 Block gang, while some of the accused were connected to rival groups ATK and 1200.
Prosecutors argued that Andrews helped track the rapper’s movements at several locations before the shooting. However, she denied knowing about any murder plans, asserting that she was unaware of her boyfriend Chance’s intentions.
Her defense attorneys, Life Malcom and Jeremy McLymont, maintained that Andrews was manipulated by an abusive partner and had no involvement in the crime. During her testimony, Andrews stated she heard gunshots but did not witness the shooting and deleted text messages afterward out of fear.
The remaining four suspects — Chance, Gathright, and the Murphy brothers — are set to face trial next year.
