Lawyer blames poor services at hospital for the death of his son

HYDERABAD:

The doctors and paramedics of Liaquat University Hospital, Hyderabad's largest tertiary healthcare facility, observed a black day on Friday to condemn registration of an FIR against the management and physicians of the LUH. They boycotted their work for two hours while the same token boycott will continue on November 1 from 10am to 12 noon.

The teachers association of Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences, Jamshoro, Pakistan Medical Association, Young Doctors Association and Paramedics Staff Association, besides other unions, participated. A protest demonstration was also organized, led by the teachers association's president Prof Dr Farazana Shaikh and vice president Prof Dr Muhammad Kashif Shaikh.

"We won't tolerate attempts to harass the doctors who are already working in an emergency situation and that too often in a hostile environment," she cautioned.
