KARACHI:

Sindh Police Inspector General (IG) Ghulam Nabi Memon has directed that the recently launched "Faceless E-Ticketing System" be extended to all districts of the province to improve road safety and traffic discipline.

Chairing a review meeting at the Central Police Office (CPO) on Friday, the IGP said the initiative aims to curb traffic accidents and ensure strict enforcement of speed limits - the leading cause of fatal crashes. He also called for the installation of CCTV cameras along major highways and the establishment of Traffic Facilitation Centres in every district.

Briefing the meeting, the DIG Traffic Karachi presented a detailed report on the system's launch and operation, noting that the faceless e-ticketing facility formally came into effect in the metropolis on October 27. He said the new traffic law has received a positive public response, with citizens offering valuable suggestions and feedback for improvement.
