MULTAN:

The district administration in Multan has announced a zero-tolerance policy to curb the spread of dengue fever.

Presiding over a meeting, Deputy Commissioner Waseem Hamid Sindhu directed officials to intensify dengue surveillance and conduct immediate anti-dengue spraying at high-risk sites.

Expressing concern over the rising number of cases, the DC instructed hospitals to allocate special dengue wards and ensure the timely availability of medicines.

He warned health staff that no negligence would be tolerated in public health duties, and action would be taken if dengue cases fail to decline.

Sindhu urged citizens to keep their surroundings clean and cooperate with field teams to prevent mosquito breeding.
