Taj Haider Bridge marks key progress in Sindh’s Yellow Line BRT: Memon
Sharjeel Inam Memon, Sindh Transport Minister, has stated that the newly built Senator Taj Haider Bridge is a proud addition to the Yellow Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project, reflecting Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s vision for a modern, connected Sindh.
In a statement posted on social media platform X, Memon said the bridge was constructed under the supervision of the transport department and features dedicated lanes for public transport and cyclists, ensuring both safety and traffic efficiency.

Calling it “a practical step towards a modern, integrated and developed Sindh,” Memon said the bridge stands as a major achievement of the Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) Sindh government for the citizens of Karachi.
He added that another bridge is being built alongside the Senator Taj Haider Bridge, which will complete a total of eight lanes. The inclusion of a separate cycling track aims to promote safety and smooth traffic flow.
Memon stated that the PPP-led Sindh government is actively advancing multiple BRT projects across Karachi to enhance urban mobility. The initiative, he added, will provide major relief to residents of Korangi and other areas by offering better connectivity and reducing traffic congestion.
“The Sindh government is committed to providing a state-of-the-art transport and road system in Karachi to address the city’s long-standing traffic issues,” Memon said, noting that electric buses under the Yellow Line project will enhance environmental sustainability and travel comfort for commuters.
