Two commit suicide over domestic dispute

LAHORE:

A 27-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan at his residence in Gulistan Colony, Factory Area.

According to an Edhi Foundation spokesperson, the deceased was identified as Hamza Butt. Initial reports suggest that Hamza took his own life after becoming distressed over a domestic dispute.

Following the incident, police and forensic teams reached the scene, collected evidence, and launched an investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the tragedy.

Edhi volunteers shifted the body to the city morgue via an Edhi ambulance for postmortem examination.

Separately, a 23-year-old woman, identified as Kiran, allegedly ended her life by hanging herself at her home located on College Road in the Satto Katla area.

Upon receiving information, police reached both scenes, collected forensic evidence, and shifted the bodies to the city morgue for postmortem examination.
