Aerial firing claims teenager's life in Pindi

RAWALPINDI:

A 17-year-old was killed in aerial firing by an unknown suspect in the Amarpura area of Waris Khan police station early this morning, police sources on Friday.

The body has been shifted to the hospital for postmortem. The victim, 17-year-old Fayyaz, who worked in a bakery, was seriously injured after being shot in the head by the firing of an unknown suspect in Amarpura early this morning.

He was shifted to Benazir Bhutto Hospital for medical treatment; however, he died before he could receive medical treatment.

The police said that the body has been shifted to DHQ for postmortem and efforts are being made to trace the suspect who opened fire.
