Pakistan Security forces conducted a succesful operation in Lakki Marwat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, eliminating eight militants and injuring six on October 24, said Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The operation is part of ongoing efforts to eradicate terrorism and restore peace in the province, carried out following precise intelligence reports, according to the ISPR statement.

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa has faced a sustained wave of terrorist attacks, prompting ongoing security operations against elements described by the state as Fitna al-Khawarij, which is the term used for terrorists affiliated with the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

An intelligence-based operation (IBO) was conducted in the area of Spinwam, North Waziristan on October 13 and 14, which led to the death of 18 terrorists after an intense exchange of fire.

On September 27, security forces killed 17 terrorists of Fitna al-Khawarij in an operation in Lakki Marwat district, while another four terrorists linked to Fitna al-Hindustan were eliminated during an intelligence-based operation in Mastung on September 12.

ISPR stated that operations will continue until the elimination of the last militant and the complete restoration of peace and order, under the National Action Plan. A search operation is ongoing in the area amid fears of the possible presence of more terrorists, added ISPR.
