Charlie went from not knowing the difference between Jay-Z and Kanye, to texting me like this on his daily runs.

In the messages, Kirk appeared animated about the song, quoting Minaj’s memorable opening line, “First things first, I eat your brains.” The conversation revealed a lighter, more personal side of Kirk, as he and Owens exchanged admiration for the verses. Kirk wrote, “Sasquatch, Godzilla, King Kong, Loch Ness/ Goblin, ghoul, a zombie with no conscience,” adding that the track motivated him to run a few miles while listening.
Owens responded by calling Minaj “THE best” and complimented Jay-Z’s verse, noting how it inspired her during workouts.
Social media users were quick to comment after the screenshots emerged on X. Many expressed surprise, with one user saying, “but Charlie talk so bad about Nicki he was secretly a fan,” while another joked, “Them both spelling Nicki’s name wrong is taking me out.”
One fan quipped that Kirk being outed as a 'barb' was not on their "2025 bingo card" while another jokingly hoped Minaj doesnt see Owens' post given the rapper's recent online tirades against Cardi B and Jay-Z.
The resurfaced conversation arrives amid ongoing discussions about Candace Owens’ recent statements regarding Kirk’s death and related political controversies.
Kirk was shot and killed on September 10, 2025, during an event at Utah Valley University. The suspect, Tyler Robinson, was arrested and charged with aggravated murder.
