Social protection strategy launched

PESHAWAR:

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government, with support from the German government through GIZ, has launched the province's first Social Protection Strategy, a landmark initiative to promote dignity, inclusion, and resilience for all citizens.

Organized by the Public Policy and Social Protection Reforms Unit (PP&SPRU) under the Planning and Development Department, the event gathered senior officials from federal and provincial governments, development partners, academia, and civil society to discuss implementation and interprovincial collaboration.

The strategy, aligned with the K-P Social Protection Policy 2022, provides an actionable roadmap for 2025–2030.
