"The officer sustained multiple bullet wounds and showed signs of torture before being killed," said a police source. His body has been shifted to Mastung District Hospital for a postmortem examination.
Police have collected forensic evidence, including bullet casings and blood samples, as part of an ongoing investigation to determine the motive and any possible connection between the two incidents.
Senior Balochistan Police officers expressed deep sorrow over the killing, calling it "a major loss for the force" and vowing to bring those responsible to justice.
