Missing Balochistan police officer found dead in Mastung

DSP Yousuf Reki’s abduction and murder highlight renewed threats to law enforcement amid rising militant violence

DSP Yousuf Reki, a police officer from Noshki who had been missing for several days, was found dead near Kardgap in Mastung, Balochistan. Authorities confirmed that he had been abducted and shot dead.

Reki was last seen traveling alone from Noshki to Quetta late Saturday night when he went missing. According to police, he was tortured before being shot at close range and was shot in the chest. His remains were found in Killi Sharbat Khan and sent to Mastung District Hospital for a postmortem.

Police teams collected the shells, blood samples, and other forensic materials from the area. A investigation has been launched.

DSP Reki was widely respected for his commitment to fighting crime and maintaining order in Noshki. Senior officials of the Balochistan Police expressed deep sorrow over his death, calling it a great loss for the force.
