Charlie Puth has shared his excitement about becoming a father for the first time. The 33-year-old singer confirmed that he and his wife, Brooke Sansone, are expecting their first child during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday, October 21.
“I’m going to be a dad,” Puth said with a smile, revealing that the baby is due in March. He added that he had “not left much up to the imagination” when hinting at the news in his latest music video for Changes.

The See You Again singer joked that he hopes his child inherits his love of music. “I hope the baby likes music because it’s the only thing I’m good at,” he said.
Puth also shared that he plans to play music for his baby before birth, a tradition inspired by his own mother.
“My mom used to put big headphones on her stomach and play James Taylor and Luther Vandross,” he recalled. “I’ll probably do the same thing, whether Brooke likes it or not.”
Puth and Sansone, who have known each other since childhood and began dating in 2022, got married in September 2024.
The couple first revealed their pregnancy in the Changes video, where Puth is seen gently placing his hands on Sansone’s baby bump before the two walk off together.
The song serves as the lead single from his upcoming album Whatever’s Clever!, set to release on March 6, 2026, through Atlantic Records.
