Suzanne Somers’ husband Alan Hamel unveils A.I. clone two years after her death
Alan Hamel reveals an A.I. clone of late wife Suzanne Somers, built using her books, interviews, and voice recordings

Two years after Suzanne Somers’ passing, her husband Alan Hamel has revealed a groundbreaking tribute — an A.I. clone of the late actress.
Hamel, who was married to Somers for 55 years, said the project was something the couple had discussed for decades before her death in October 2023.
The “Suzanne A.I. Twin Project,” as Hamel calls it, uses advanced artificial intelligence to recreate Somers’ voice, personality, and appearance with remarkable accuracy. “If you put the A.I. twin next to the real Suzanne, you’d barely know the difference,” Hamel told People.
To bring the digital version to life, developers fed the system all 27 of Somers’ published books, along with hundreds of interviews she gave throughout her career. During a live demo earlier this year, Hamel said he asked the A.I. Suzanne a series of questions — and her responses stunned the audience.
“This isn’t about jumping on the A.I. bandwagon,” Hamel explained. “Suzanne and I talked about this idea since the 1980s. She loved innovation, and she’d be thrilled to see this come to life.”
The Three’s Company star passed away from cancer just one day before her 77th birthday, leaving behind a devoted family and a legacy spanning television, wellness, and authorship. According to Hamel, their family fully supports the A.I. project, viewing it as a meaningful way to preserve her voice and spirit.
“This isn’t just technology — it’s a continuation of who she was,” Hamel said. “Now, people can still see and hear Suzanne, just as she wanted.”
