20 die in Punjab road crashes

LAHORE:

At least 20 people died, whereas 1,720 were injured in 1,484 Road Traffic Crashes (RTCs) across Punjab during the last 24 hours.

Out of these, 760 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 960 victims with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by Rescue Medical Teams. The majority (78%) involved motorbikes.

The analysis showed those 990 drivers, 66 underage drivers, 165 pedestrians, and 585 passengers were among the victims of road traffic crashes. The statistics show that 239 RTCs were reported in Lahore which affected 286 people.
