CSS 2024 results: Just 229 candidates pass exam

19 of the top 20 qualifiers opted for Pakistan Administrative Service, while one chose the Police Service of Pakistan

The Federal Public Service Commission has announced the results of the Central Superior Services Examination 2024, revealing a significantly low success rate of just 2.48 per cent.

A total of 15,602 candidates appeared in the highly competitive examination out of which only 229 candidates managed to pass, including 119 male and 110 female candidates.

The results showed that 397 candidates initially cleared the written exam, but only 229 were declared successful after the viva/interview. Their appointments are subject to their medical fitness.

Among the candidates who successfully cleared the written exam, 269 were from Punjab, 33 from Sindh (Rural), 19 from Sindh (Urban), 31 from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, 22 from Balochistan, and two from Gilgit-Baltistan, while no candidate from Azad Jammu and Kashmir made it to the final list.

The top three positions were secured by Muhammad Shafay Ijaz, who clinched the first position, Sana Rasool stood second, and Momina Azhar, secured third place.

Reports further indicated that 19 out of the top 20 qualifiers opted for the Pakistan Administrative Service, while only one candidate chose the Police Service of Pakistan. Notably, none of the top 30 candidates selected the Foreign Service of Pakistan this year.
