
Pakistan will host the Regional Transport Ministers Conference (RTMC) on October 2324 in Islamabad, bringing together ministers and high-level delegations from 27 countries.
According to an official statement on Tuesday, the two-day event at the Jinnah Convention Centre will focus on strengthening regional cooperation in land, sea, and air connectivity, promoting trade corridors, and expanding bilateral and multilateral ties.
At the official logo unveiling ceremony, Federal Ministers Abdul Aleem Khan, Hanif Abbasi, and Junaid Anwar shared their views on the RTMC 2025 vision and objectives.
A special review meeting chaired by Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan assessed administrative and technical preparations for the conference. He directed relevant ministries to ensure world-class arrangements and emphasised that the event will project Pakistan's positive image internationally while opening new avenues for trade and economic linkages.
Ministers Hanif Abbasi and Junaid Anwar reaffirmed full support and termed the event a milestone for regional connectivity and cooperation. During the meeting, the RTMC logo was officially approved, and senior officials from the organising committee presented progress briefings.
Aleem Khan stressed maintaining the highest standards in event organisation to showcase Pakistan's capabilities. He announced that a cultural show and exhibition will be held alongside the conference to highlight Pakistan's traditions and hospitality. Government departments will also set up public exhibitions for broader engagement. He urged all departments to ensure seamless coordination and timely completion of preparations for the successful execution of the event.
