Elite Force officer killed in Rajanpur attack

RAJANPUR:

Kacha dacoits ambushed a patrolling police van late on Friday night in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bangla Ichha, Rajanpur.

The attackers opened indiscriminate fire, resulting in the martyrdom of Elite Force official Nasir Mirani, while two other officials sustained injuries.

Police said the injured officials — driver Constable Mehmood and Elite Constable Sanaullah — were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, where they are receiving medical treatment. Inspector General of Punjab Police, Dr Usman Anwar, took strong notice of the attack and sought a detailed report from RPO Dera Ghazi Khan.
