Taylor Swift recalls Travis Kelce's awkward mix-up with Hugh Grant’s wife during concert

Taylor Swift has shared a humorous story about her fiancé Travis Kelce’s awkward celebrity mix-up during her London Eras Tour show.

Appearing on Late Night With Seth Meyers on Wednesday, October 8, the singer recounted the moment Kelce mistakenly complimented actor Hugh Grant’s wife, Anna Eberstein, believing she was Barbie director Greta Gerwig.

“The most fun thing about having Travis out on tour is that he’d go to the tents and give me the tea afterward,” Swift told Meyers, recalling how Kelce had wanted to meet Gerwig, his favourite director.

After the concert, Kelce enthusiastically listed the stars he had met — including Tom Cruise, the Hemsworth brothers, Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, and Hugh Grant — before mentioning that he had told Gerwig he loved Barbie and joked, “I’m just Ken too.”

Swift laughed as she realised that Kelce had in fact approached Eberstein, not Gerwig. “Is there any chance, baby, that you complimented Hugh Grant’s wife on Barbie?” she teased, noting that Eberstein had smiled politely rather than correcting him.

Kelce’s misunderstanding quickly became a highlight of the interview, showcasing the couple’s lighthearted rapport.
