Normal water flow in Punjab rivers: PDMA

The Punjab Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) on Wednesday reported that the overall water flow in the province's rivers remained normal, with only two locations on the Sutlej River experiencing low to medium-level flooding.

According to the PDMA's daily river situation report, the River Ravi was flowing normally across all key points.

At Jassar, the water flow has been recorded at 20,000 cusecs, while Shahdara reported 22,000 cusecs. At Balloki Headworks, the flow reached 43,000 cusecs, and Sidhnai Headworks recorded 46,000 cusecs.

Meanwhile, the River Sutlej continues to carry a medium-level flood at Ganda Singh Wala, where the discharge has reached 108,000 cusecs, while a low-level flood was recorded at Sulemanki Headworks with a discharge of 81,000 cusecs.

The River Chenab is also flowing within normal limits. At Marala, the water flow was 57,000 cusecs, while Qadirabad recorded 70,000 cusecs, and Khanki Headworks registered a discharge of 75,000 cusecs.

At Trimmu Headworks, the water flow stood at 9,000 cusecs, and Panjnad reported 28,000 cusecs.
