Streamer Hasan Piker, better known as HasanAbi, has spoken out following a viral clip that sparked accusations of animal abuse involving his dog, Kaya.
The clip, recorded during a recent Twitch stream, shows Hasan telling Kaya to “please just f**king go back” and “stop,” followed by the dog yelping as she moves away.
The short moment quickly spread across social media, prompting some viewers to accuse the streamer of mistreatment and speculate about the use of a shock collar.
Hasan addressed the controversy in a follow-up broadcast, firmly denying the allegations and clarifying what happened.
“Yes, she yelped because she f**king clipped herself on something when she was getting off the bed,” he explained. “I didn’t touch her. I don’t use any shock collars or anything like that, that’s insane.”
The streamer went on to criticize the growing wave of accusations online, saying the claims were being fueled by misinformation.
“It’s going viral that they’re claiming the most well-trained and most spoiled, best-kept dog on the planet is being abused by me,” Hasan said. “Because I gave her the place command while she was getting off, and then she yelped.”
He sarcastically mocked the shock-collar rumors, adding: “They said you shocked her with a button. Yeah, in my evil villain lair. Good thing I didn’t hit the f**king trapdoor button instead on accident.”
Hasan insisted that Kaya’s reaction was simply a minor mishap.
“She yelped, no! She went [sound] when she was getting off the bed. I assume she either stepped funny or clipped her foot on something. I don’t know.”

“I’m incredibly abusive to not only the best-trained, but also the best-behaving and most spoiled dog on the planet,” he said with irony.
The incident has divided viewers, with some defending Hasan’s explanation and others questioning his tone in the clip, but the streamer maintains the viral moment has been “wildly misinterpreted.”
