Fans were disappointed to learn that Nicholas Hoult will not be attending New York Comic Con 2025, held from October 9 to October 12, after the actor revealed he is recovering from recent knee surgery.
In a short video shared by the official New York Comic Con account on October 7, Hoult expressed regret for missing the event and gave fans a brief health update.
“I’m so sorry to tell you that I won’t be able to join you this time,” Hoult said. “Unfortunately, I had knee surgery a couple of weeks ago and I can’t walk or fly yet, so I’m not going to be able to make it. I was really looking forward to it, so I’m sorry.”
He ended the message with a warm note, wishing attendees a great weekend and promising to make it up to them soon.
“I hope you have a wonderful weekend and hopefully I’ll be joining you in the near future and get to see you all soon. Bye.”
