Zeeshan, who fought hard to beat his teammate and the top-seed Wajid Ali in the semi-final 21-17, 18-21, 21-16, found it even harder to overcome a brilliant Qamer in the final as he lost in straight sets.
Meanwhile, in the men’s doubles, NBP’s pair of Rizwan Azam and Kashif Sulehri prevailed over Wapda’s Zeeshan and Zafar Tasneem in straight sets 21-19, 21-8.
NBP added another title in the bag as Sarah Khan emerged as the ladies’ singles champion when she defeated teammate Sarah Ahmed 21- 17, 21-11.
In the ladies’ doubles Wapda had their revenge of the men’s doubles defeat as Farzana Kaleem and Saima Waqas beat NBP’s Palwasha Bashir and Aisha Akram 17-21, 21-15, 22-20.
The championship was contested by over 200 players representing five sports departments and four provincial teams.
