MAILSI:

Police claimed to have arrested a man, complainant's own nephew, and recovered stolen jewellery and cash worth Rs2.6 million in Garha Mor area on Saturday.

DSP Mailsi Saeed Ahmad Sial, accompanied by SHO Garha Mor Amin Jhandeer, said the theft had taken place on September 24, 2025, at the jewellery shop of Muhammad Ramzan. The thieves had made away with seven tolas of gold, Rs400,000 in cash, and several mobile phones.

Following the registration of the FIR, police launched an investigation and soon found Ramzan's nephew, Mudassar Ikram, to be a prime suspect. "Using human intelligence and modern technology, our team traced and arrested the accused, who later confessed to committing the crime along with his accomplices, Mudassar Afzal and Muhammad Mehran," the DSP said.

The police recovered the entire stolen property from the suspects and handed it over to the rightful owner.
