Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman’s separation continues to attract attention, with rumours in Nashville suggesting that the country star may already be linked to another woman.
The speculation intensified just as Nicole Kidman filed for divorce in Nashville on 30 September after 19 years of marriage.
Sources close to Kidman told TMZ that “all the signs point to the fact that Keith is with another woman,” although it remains unclear whether any connection predated their split in June. One insider even remarked, “It’s all over Nashville.”
Amid this backdrop, a recent Keith Urban performance has resurfaced, adding to the conversation. During a rendition of his hit “The Fighter” — a song originally inspired by his romance with Kidman — Urban changed the lyric to reference his utility player and rising country artist Maggie Baugh.
The original line “When they're tryna get to you, baby I'll be the fighter” was altered by Urban to “When they’re tryna get to you, Maggie I’ll be your guitar player.” Baugh shared the moment on Instagram with the caption: “Did he just say that👀,” adding emojis to highlight the reaction.
The lyric swap came just days before news of Urban and Kidman’s split became public. While PEOPLE confirmed that Kidman filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences, Urban and Baugh have not commented on the clip, which fans viewed as notable given the song’s origins.
Urban and Kidman married in 2006 and share two daughters. Kidman also has two older children from her marriage to Tom Cruise.
Urban, who continues his High and Alive World Tour with Baugh in the band, has yet to directly address the rumours linking him to “another woman” following the high-profile separation.
