Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka on Tuesday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for lawyer and activist Imaan Mazari and social media activist Hadi Ali Chatha in the controversial tweets case, directing police to arrest and produce them before the court.
At the start of the hearing, the court formally framed charges against the two accused. However, neither was present in the courtroom at the time. Instead, their assisting counsel appeared on their behalf.
When asked by the court about their absence, the lawyer said both had attended briefly but left for another hearing in Rawalpindi.
