Nine months after getting engaged, Tom Holland corrected a reporter who referred to Zendaya as his “girlfriend” during a panel appearance.
The Spider-Man star laughed and quickly clarified, “Fiancée,” highlighting his fiancée status with the Dune actress.
Holland and Zendaya’s engagement was made public in January 2025. According to Holland’s father, Dominic Holland, the proposal was carefully planned, including coordination with Zendaya’s family. The couple first went public with their relationship in 2021.
Despite their engagement, the pair have not started formal wedding planning. Zendaya’s stylist, Law Roach, confirmed that her filming schedule, including work on Dune, has delayed preparations, noting there’s plenty of time before the ceremony.
While details remain private, speculation around the wedding includes designer options such as Louis Vuitton, Versace, Valentino, and Tom Ford. The couple is reportedly aiming for a private, intimate celebration without media coverage or photos.
Close friends and family are expected to attend. Holland’s Spider-Man co-star Jacob Batalon and Zendaya’s Dune co-stars, including Timothée Chalamet, may be part of the guest list. Storm Reid has expressed interest in participating as a flower girl. Musical guest Benson Boone is also rumored to be involved.
Zendaya’s engagement ring is a five-carat East-West Cushion Diamond by Jessica McCormack, designed in 18-karat white and yellow gold.
The couple has yet to announce a wedding date, though England is suggested as a potential location given Holland’s family ties and the appeal of castle venues.
As Zendaya has said, the couple values privacy and cherishes their relationship, focusing on the personal and sacred aspects of their love rather than public spectacle.
