GM of Steel Mills' store held for theft

KARACHI:

Bin Qasim police arrested the serving general manager (GM) of the Steel Mills' store on charges of stealing copper, iron, and scrap, from the mills.

SHO Bin Qasim, Faisal Rafique, confirmed that the accused, identified as Syed Sadat Ali, was an on-duty employee of the Steel Mills, and would secretly transport stolen materials in a vehicle, selling them in different warehouses.

Police recovered 40 kilogrammes of copper, along with the vehicle used in the theft, from the possession of the accused. A case has been registered, with further investigations underway.
