
A 5.5 magnitude earthquake was felt early on Friday morning at 7:17am in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa's Buner District, according to the Pakistan Meterological Department (PMD).
Despite the tremors being widely felt across the district, no casualties or damage to property were reported.
The epicentre was located in Afghanistan’s Hindu Kush region at a depth of 195 kilometres, according to the report issued by PMD . Tremors were felt in Chitral, Peshawar, and Swat.
Earlier this month, strong tremors of a 5.4 magnitude earthquake were felt in the federal capital, Punjab, and several areas of K-P, there were no immediate reports of casualties or property damage.
According to Express News, the epicentre was located in Afghanistan. Several parts of K-P also experienced tremors, with people in Peshawar leaving their homes in fear.
