Jessica Sanchez has been crowned the winner of America’s Got Talent Season 20, securing the $1 million prize after an emotional finale on Wednesday, September 24.
Nine months pregnant, the Filipino-American singer performed Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga’s “Die with a Smile,” earning a standing ovation from the audience and praise from the judges.
This victory marks a significant return for Sanchez, who first appeared on the show in 2006 as a 10-year-old contestant. Nearly twenty years later, she has completed a storybook comeback, performing at her strongest while preparing for motherhood.
Jessica Elizabeth Sanchez was born on August 4, 1995 in Chula Vista, California. She first rose to fame as the runner-up on American Idol Season 11, delivering acclaimed renditions of songs by Whitney Houston and Etta James.

As an independent artist, Sanchez has found success both in the United States and internationally. She has achieved a number one album and two number one singles in the Philippines.
Her 2015 release "This Love" passed one million YouTube views, while her festive album Christmas with Jessica was highlighted by Billboard. Beyond music, she has appeared in Glee, competed in The Clash, and performed at Miss Universe Philippines 2020.
Sanchez is currently engaged and expecting her first child, making her AGT triumph both a career milestone and a deeply personal achievement.
