Rapper Cardi B has opened up about the delay in finalizing her divorce from fellow artist Offset, saying ongoing financial disputes have prevented the process from moving forward.

During a recent livestream on X (formerly Twitter), Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Almánzar, explained that although she and Offset are legally separated, the case has stalled because she believes she is being pressured into unfair terms.

She did not name Offset directly, but strongly implied he was behind the hold-up. According to Cardi, her estranged husband has demanded that she cover his outstanding taxes and sign over one of her properties—requests she firmly rejected. “I’mma fight for that,” she stated.

Despite the legal tension, the Grammy-winning artist reassured fans that the separation has not disrupted her children’s lives. She noted that their schedules and routines have remained consistent, even as the divorce remains unresolved.

Cardi B and Offset, whose real name is Kiari Cephus, married in 2017 and have had a relationship marked by public breakups and reconciliations. However, Cardi emphasized in her livestream that this split is final and not the result of lingering emotions.

While official court documents outlining the divorce terms have not been disclosed, Cardi’s comments suggest the negotiations involve complex financial matters. No new court filings or dates have been publicly confirmed.

For now, the proceedings remain at a standstill, with Cardi B making clear that she does not intend to accept the terms she described.
