Marvel's upcoming blockbuster 'Avengers: Doomsday' may have had its first major leak - and it comes not from a trailer or set photo, but from a crew gift bag after production wrapped.

UK makeup artist Giovanna Ponci shared an image of the keepsake online, and eagle-eyed fans quickly noted what looked like a collage of character art. The designs, if genuine, suggest Marvel is finally leaning into classic, comic-accurate X-Men costumes in its cinematic universe.

Cyclops appears to be sporting his iconic blue-and-yellow suit, complete with the red visor. Beast looks more faithful to his comic book origins, while Mystique seems to have moved away from the skin-tight 'nude' design of earlier films in favour of a more formal black-and-white outfit.

Nightcrawler's attire also echoes his traditional look, ditching the trench coat popularised in 'X2'. A partially obscured figure on the collage may even be Magneto, hinting at the Master of Magnetism's role in the film.

Beyond the mutants, the image shows updates for other Marvel heavyweights. Thor's design is only subtly altered, while Namor appears in a black vest with a high collar.

The collage also depicts an older version of Franklin Richards, the son of Reed and Sue Storm introduced briefly in 'Fantastic Four'. His inclusion hints that the character will step into a more central role.

While the leak has stirred up excitement, industry watchers remain cautious. Outlets such as 'ComicBook.com' remind readers that Marvel often alters costumes between early concept art and the final product.

A similar situation unfolded before 'Avengers: Endgame', when leaked toys and merchandise featured suit designs that never made it to screen. Still, the timing of this leak fuels speculation about when fans will get an official first look.

Insiders point to December 2025 as a possible launch window for the teaser, potentially paired with 'Avatar: Fire and Ash'. If not, marketing may hold off until mid-2026 to tie in with 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day'.

The leaks dovetail with growing anticipation around Marvel's next phase. The inclusion of the X-Men in a major crossover is a moment fans have waited for since Disney acquired Fox, and 'Avengers: Doomsday' appears to be the vehicle chosen for that long-promised integration.

Until Marvel Studios confirms the designs, the gift bag collage remains a tantalising clue - part leak, part marketing accident, and part fan-fuelled detective work. What is clear is that audiences are bracing for a dramatic expansion of the Marvel multiverse when 'Avengers: Doomsday' arrives on December 18, 2026.
