Around 50 people gathered Sunday evening, Sept. 21, in Lake Elsinore to honor 15-year-old Celeste Rivas, whose remains were discovered earlier this month in the trunk of singer D4vd’s 2023 Tesla.
Attendees, mostly high-school-aged, placed flowers, candles, and mementos, including a teddy bear, around a banner reading “Justice for Celeste Rivas”, footage from OnScene.TV shows.
Celeste was first reported missing last year, when she was 13. Her body was found on Sept. 8, a day after her 15th birthday, in a Los Angeles tow yard.
The Tesla had been impounded after being parked on a public street for more than 72 hours in the Hollywood Hills, where it reportedly remained for nearly a month.

Investigators say the remains were severely decomposed and dismembered inside a bag in the trunk. The Los Angeles Police Department executed a search warrant at a Hollywood home where D4vd had stayed, seizing several items as evidence.
The singer, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, has been on his US Withered tour, but future tour dates have since been canceled.
A representative for D4vd stated that he is fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation. Authorities continue to gather evidence as the case develops.
