Tom Holland has been rushed to hospital after a dangerous stunt on the set of the new Spider-Man film went wrong, forcing production to grind to a halt.

The 29-year-old actor reportedly cracked his head during a fall and was treated for concussion. A stunt double was also injured and taken to hospital by ambulance.

Filming of the £150million blockbuster Spider-Man: Brand New Day was immediately suspended at Leavesden Studios in Watford and could be on hold for weeks.

Holland’s father, comedian Dominic Holland, confirmed at a charity dinner in Mayfair that his son will be away from filming “for a while.”

Just days earlier, Tom was seen in high spirits, attending the same event alongside fiancée and co-star Zendaya, 28, where the couple posed for photos.

The film, set for release in July 2026, will see Holland reprise his role as Peter Parker alongside fiancée Zendaya, 28. Returning cast members include Jacob Batalon, Mark Ruffalo, Jon Bernthal, and Michael Mando, with newcomers Sadie Sink, Liza Colón-Zayas, and Tramell Tillman joining the ensemble.

For now, filming remains on pause, with the studio and fans alike waiting for updates on Holland’s recovery.
