Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan met Iran's Minister for Agriculture Jihad, Gholamreza Nouri Ghezeljeh, to advance agricultural cooperation.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to implement decisions of the Joint Committee on Agriculture Cooperation. They agreed to facilitate imports of farm products in line with understandings reached during last month's visit of Pakistan's food security minister.
According to an official statement issued Thursday, Iran's Ministry of Agriculture Jihad will send a high-level delegation to Pakistan within two weeks to finalise export of Pakistani corn to Iran. Khan thanked Tehran for boosting imports of Pakistani rice and meat.
