Taylor Swift will make a guest appearance on The Graham Norton Show to coincide with the release of her new album, The Life of a Showgirl. The episode will air on October 3, just hours before the album becomes available worldwide.
The BBC confirmed the line-up on September 17, revealing that Swift will join Cillian Murphy, Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith, and Domhnall Gleeson on Norton’s sofa. The episode will also feature a performance by Lewis Capaldi.
Swift’s appearance follows a two-hour countdown on her official website, which sparked speculation among fans. Previous countdowns have led to multiple album variants and exclusive artwork releases.
This will be the first televised interview and public appearance by Swift since announcing The Life of a Showgirl during an August episode of New Heights, the podcast hosted by her fiancé Travis Kelce and his brother Jason. At the time, Kelce described the album’s 12 tracks as “bangers.”
Swift revealed that she worked on the project between European tour dates, flying in and out of Sweden to collaborate with long-time partners Max Martin and Shellback, with whom she had previously produced material for Red, 1989, and Reputation.
Speaking about the creative process, Swift explained: “My day ends with me in a bathtub, not usually in a bedazzled dress. I wanted to glamorise all the different aspects of how that tour felt.” The record includes the title track, a collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter, and a song titled “Cancelled!”.
Swift is no stranger to Norton’s stage, having appeared multiple times to promote previous albums and projects. In her most recent visit in 2022, she discussed All Too Well: The Short Film.
Her upcoming appearance is expected to be part of the broader promotional campaign for The Life of a Showgirl, marking the beginning of her 12th studio era.
