he music industry remains in shock after the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner confirmed that the remains of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas were discovered in a Tesla registered to singer David Anthony Burke, professionally known as D4vd. The vehicle, found abandoned in the Hollywood Hills on September 8 and later towed, contained Rivas’s decomposed body. She had been missing since April 2024, according to TMZ. Police are investigating the case as a homicide, with the cause of death still listed as “deferred.”

The case has intensified speculation about D4vd’s personal life. Rivas’s mother told TMZ that her daughter was dating someone named “David” before she vanished. Adding to the scrutiny, both D4vd and Rivas reportedly had the word “Shhh…” tattooed on their right index fingers, a design also worn by several celebrities. Authorities have not confirmed any relationship between the two.

Social media has fueled further controversy. A demo track allegedly by D4vd titled Celeste surfaced online in recent days, with lyrics describing obsession toward someone of the same name. At the same time, leaked photos circulating on X (formerly Twitter) appear to show the singer alongside a girl resembling Rivas. While these images have gone viral, their authenticity has not been confirmed by investigators, and law enforcement has not commented on them.

D4vd, known for his hit single Romantic Homicide and currently on his Withered World Tour, has largely kept his private life out of the public eye. He once joked online about being “happily married,” but no record of a marriage or confirmed relationship has been made public.

Following Rivas’s identification, the singer canceled a scheduled concert in Seattle. The LAPD confirmed the Tesla belonged to him and was never reported stolen, but investigators have not said who last drove the car before it was abandoned.
