Bella Hadid has shared a personal update after her absence from New York Fashion Week sparked concern among fans.
The 28-year-old model revealed she had experienced a health setback linked to her long-term battle with Lyme disease, posting an image from what appeared to be a hospital bed on Instagram on September 17.
In the photographs, Hadid was seen hooked up to IVs and wearing an oxygen mask, making a peace sign with her hand. She captioned the post, “I’m sorry, I always go MIA. I love you guys.”
Her mother, Yolanda Hadid, responded by calling her a “Lyme warrior,” while her sister Gigi Hadid added, “I love you! I hope you feel as strong and good as you deserve, soon!!!!!!” The messages of support highlighted the family’s concern as Bella continues to manage the illness she was first diagnosed with over a decade ago.
Hadid has been candid about her struggles, previously sharing in a 2023 Instagram post how living with the illness while maintaining a public career had been “the most confusing thing ever.” She reflected on the toll it had taken, but also emphasised the importance of resilience.
Support continues to pour in as she focuses on recovery.
