The soundtrack for Wicked: For Good will arrive on November 21, the same day the film hits theaters, featuring two brand new songs written by composer Stephen Schwartz for stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande.
The original Broadway production of Wicked never included fresh additions in its later acts, but the upcoming film will showcase “No Place Like Home,” performed by Erivo as Elphaba, and “The Girl in the Bubble,” performed by Grande as Glinda. Both songs are expected to be Oscar-eligible, marking a significant moment in the musical’s expansion onto the big screen.
Alongside the new tracks, the soundtrack will feature updated arrangements of several familiar songs from the stage version, with Schwartz revealing that previously unused material has been reintroduced. “In addition to two brand new songs, there is a lot that’s new in several other existing songs,” Schwartz said in a statement, noting that both new listeners and longtime fans will discover fresh elements throughout the score.
The album will include highlights such as “Every Day More Wicked,” “Wonderful,” and the iconic duet “For Good,” performed by Erivo and Grande. Other tracks feature cast members Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, and Marissa Bode.
The soundtrack will be available in multiple formats, including CD, digital, two-LP vinyl, and exclusive retailer editions from Target, Amazon, Walmart, and Barnes & Noble.
With Wicked: For Good already one of 2025’s most anticipated films, the soundtrack’s release ensures fans can experience the magic of Oz both on-screen and at home.
