Cardi B has revealed she is expecting her fourth child, confirming the pregnancy during an interview with CBS Mornings on Wednesday (Sept. 18). The 32-year-old rapper said she is preparing to welcome a baby with her partner, NFL wide receiver Stefon Diggs, while simultaneously gearing up for a new album release and an arena tour.
The Grammy-winning artist’s sophomore album, Am I The Drama?, is scheduled to be released Friday (Sept. 19), with her Little Miss Drama tour kicking off in February. Speaking to Gayle King, Cardi said the timing was challenging but also empowering. “I feel very strong. I feel very powerful that I’m doing all this work while I’m creating a baby,” she said. “Me and my man, we’re very supportive of each other.”
The rapper credited Diggs, who recently joined the New England Patriots, with helping her through the pressures of an album rollout. “He just makes me feel safe and very confident and very strong,” she said, noting that his encouragement steadied her during moments of anxiety. Cardi admitted that negative feedback over her music has often made her hesitant to share new work. “Sometimes when people just rip it apart, it crushes you,” she explained.
Cardi and Diggs were first linked in October 2024 and appeared publicly together at a New York Knicks playoff game in May 2025. Cardi, who shares three children with ex-husband Offset, said she was initially cautious about the relationship, but recalled Diggs telling her, “Let me heal you.”
She also revealed she delayed announcing her pregnancy until she could finalize professional commitments, joking that even her parents were unaware. “I’m scared of them,” she teased. With characteristic humour, Cardi urged fans to support her upcoming album: “Now y’all could buy my album so I can buy Pampers and diapers.”
Describing her new record, Cardi said it reflects a range of experiences and perspectives she feels are missing in today’s music. The full interview with King is set to air Thursday morning on CBS Mornings.
