Ariana Grande’s return to the stage is off to a record-breaking start as all US dates for her Eternal Sunshine tour have officially sold out. The tour, which marks her first major run in seven years, saw presale tickets snapped up in minutes. While the demand highlights Grande’s enduring star power, the aftermath has left many fans bitterly disappointed and directing their anger at Ticketmaster and ticket resellers.

Several Arianators took to social media to share screenshots of endless queues, technical glitches and error messages that prevented them from securing seats despite logging in on time. Some fans reported being kicked out of the Ticketmaster system mid purchase, while others said tickets disappeared from their carts before they could finalise payment. By the time the general sale went live, most venues were completely sold out, fuelling frustration that the process was stacked against ordinary buyers.

Resellers quickly listed tickets on secondary markets at astronomical prices, with some seats appearing for $400 to $1000, far above the face value range of around $80 to $200. Outraged fans accused Ticketmaster of enabling scalpers through its dynamic pricing model and lack of safeguards to ensure fans could buy tickets at reasonable prices. On Reddit and X, users criticised the company for prioritising profit over fairness, calling the experience disheartening for long-time supporters.

Grande herself has not commented on the ticketing controversy, though her team previously urged fans to only buy from official sources. The singer announced the tour last week, revealing a packed schedule that spans nine US cities from June through August 2026, followed by a short London residency later that summer.

Despite the chaos, demand for the shows signals a powerful comeback for the pop star, whose Eternal Sunshine album has already sparked viral hits and global attention. For fans who managed to secure tickets, excitement is building, but for those priced out or locked out, the disappointment remains raw, adding to ongoing debates about whether Ticketmaster is failing the very audiences it is meant to serve.
