2025 MTV VMAs Winners: Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Sabrina Carpenter and more take top honours

The 2025 MTV Video Music Awards took place on last night in New York, celebrating the biggest achievements in music.

The 2025 MTV Video Music Awards were held on 7 September at UBS Arena in New York, with Lady Gaga emerging as the top winner.

Leading with 12 nominations, she took home four awards, including Artist of the Year, Best Direction, Best Art Direction and Best Collaboration with Bruno Mars for “Die With a Smile.”

Ariana Grande and Sabrina Carpenter collected three awards each. Meanwhile, ROSÉ and her BLACKPINK bandmate LISA each earned one honour.

Special honours went to Mariah Carey, who received the Video Vanguard Award, Ricky Martin, named the first Latin Icon, and Busta Rhymes, honoured with the Rock the Bells Visionary Award.
