
A man axed his son to death allegedly because of a dispute over selling trees. Police took the body into custody and launched a search for the suspected killer.
According to the police, a quarrel broke out in the area of Chak 74-GB near Satyana between 45-year-old Muhammad Akram and his father Aslam, over the sale of trees.
During the altercation, Aslam attacked his son with an axe and fled the scene. Akram succumbed to his injuries on the spot.
On receiving.information about the incident, Satyana police took the body into custody, completed the necessary formalities.and handed it over to the heirs.
Raids were launched to arrest the suspect. According to the police, the father and son argued at home over selling trees at night, resulting in the murder.
Meanwhile, a man strangled his father to death over a property dispute in Razaabad. The police arrested the suspect.
Muhammad Tayyab, a resident of Arshad Town, told Razaabad police that his father, 65-year-old Zulfiqar, was a rickshaw driver. At around 2:00am, he went upstairs to his room where the complainant's brother, Muhammad Tahir strangled him with a scarf while and fled. Police took the body into custody for a post-mortem, and later handed it over to the heirs.

According to Razaabad SHO Khawaja Imran Manan, the deceased had disinherited his son Tahir from his property some time ago, which had caused resentment.
