KARACHI:

On the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi, streets, offices, and intersections across the city were decorated with dazzling lights, while large-scale arrangements were made for food distribution and charity.

In Gulbahar, the long-standing tradition of serving special Balochi Biryani continued this year, drawing crowds not only from the neighborhood but also from far-flung parts of the city.

According to organizers, the practice began around 55 years ago when community elders initiated the langar (charity meal) to spread the message of love for the Prophet (PBUH) and to support the needy. What started with just one cooking pot has now grown into a massive arrangement of one hundred pots prepared every year.
