KARACHI:

A young man reportedly committed suicide by stabbing himself with a sharp instrument in a house in Khokrapar, while another youth reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself in a house in Orangi Town.

In the first incident, 22-year-old Sher Ali stabbed himself to death with a sharp instrument in a house in Khokrapar, Chaman Colony, within the jurisdiction of Malir City police station. The deceased's body was shifted to a hospital for legal action.

SHO Malir City reported that the deceased was addicted to crystal methamphetamine (ice drug) and, through his family, had sent a proposal of marriage to someone he liked. However, the proposal was rejected, due to which the youth committed suicide by stabbing himself with a small knife. The deceased's body was handed over to his family after legal formalities.

Separately, the body of a young man was found, with a noose around his neck, in a house in Gulshan-e-Bahar, Orangi Town. The deceased's body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) and he was identified as 20-year-old Owais.

SHO Pakistan Bazar revealed that the young man was alone at home at the time of the incident, and that his family found his hanged body when they came back.
